Pol-UK was originally founded in 2005 by Ewa Walker, who came from a family background of recruitment, and Kasia Kidd, who had worked as a legal interpreter aiding the Police, Jobcentre Plus and the Scottish Court Service in Scotland.
After Poland joined the EU, and having witnessed an influx of Poles arriving in the UK looking for work, both Kasia and Ewa saw an opportunity to establish a recruitment agency assisting Eastern European immigrants - based on a new, flexible concept promoting high standards whilst sourcing and engaging an enthusiastic, committed workforce.
From day one, we focused on building strong relationships with businesses looking for reliable, hardworking staff with the right attitude in Central Scotland, particularly in and around the Edinburgh and Glasgow area.

Our mission: to act as the link between hard-working, enthusiastic individuals, and employers in need of those individuals to fulfil temporary and permanent contracts. Our job is to help bridge the gap by sourcing the best people; it’s all about respect, communication and a good attitude - which works both ways.
Communication is something we’re big on here at Pol-UK. We take the time to get to know the workers, as well as the businesses looking to hire them. With an emphasis on regular communication and feedback, our aim is to establish an honest, open dialogue from day one.
We don’t claim to be perfect, but we are an agile, reactive business that has consistently got our workers and clients’ welfare at heart.

A passionate entrepreneur and joint-founder of Pol-UK, Kasia is originally from Lublin. You can mostly find her liaising with clients and she loves indulging in outdoor activities such as hiking.
Ewa Walker
Originally from Poznan, Poland, Ewa has a background in teaching languages and musical performance. However, in Pol-UK, her main responsibilities include working in the office and she spends her free time learning foreign languages and expanding her horizons on Audible.
Kasia Kidd
